This document is a practical startup pilot draft for review. It is not a substitute for independent legal advice.
1. About SmartFlow
SmartFlow is an early-stage hospitality technology platform operated directly by its founder, Scott Parker, during the pilot phase. SmartFlow is not currently operated through a separate limited company.
SmartFlow helps guests in hospitality venues use NFC-enabled table access to request service, request the bill, place simple orders or communicate simple requests to staff.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By using smartflow.bar or participating in the SmartFlow pilot platform, you agree to use the service responsibly and in line with these terms. If you are using SmartFlow on behalf of a venue, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
3. Pilot-stage service
SmartFlow is currently provided on a best-efforts basis for pilot evaluation. Features may change, be unavailable, be updated, be suspended or be withdrawn as the platform is tested and improved.
SmartFlow does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, increased revenue, improved reviews or any specific business outcome.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not misuse the website, platform, forms, admin tools or service request features.
- Do not attempt to access systems, venues, tables or admin areas without permission.
- Do not submit unlawful, abusive, misleading or harmful content.
- Do not interfere with the security, reliability or operation of SmartFlow.
5. Venue and staff use
Pilot venues are responsible for training staff, monitoring SmartFlow during service, responding to requests appropriately and deciding how SmartFlow fits into their operations.
SmartFlow supports hospitality staff. It does not replace staff judgement, safety procedures, legal obligations or normal venue responsibilities.
6. Payments
SmartFlow does not currently process customer payments through the customer-facing interface. Any future payment functionality would require additional terms and provider-specific requirements.
7. Maintenance, suspension and withdrawal
SmartFlow may suspend, limit, update or withdraw the website or pilot services for maintenance, security, operational reasons, misuse, technical issues or changes to the pilot programme.
Where practical, SmartFlow will try to communicate material pilot service changes to affected venues.
8. Intellectual property
SmartFlow, its software, designs, workflows, documentation, branding and related materials remain owned by Scott Parker or the relevant rights holder. Pilot participation does not transfer ownership of SmartFlow intellectual property to a venue.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartFlow is provided during the pilot on an as-is and best-efforts basis. SmartFlow will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, business interruption, loss of goodwill or loss caused by venue operational decisions.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot legally be limited.
10. Support and enquiries
Support and enquiries should be sent to scott@smartflow.bar.
11. Future updates
These terms may be updated as SmartFlow develops, as pilot arrangements change, or if SmartFlow becomes a registered company. The latest version will be posted on smartflow.bar.
